Sanju Baba sentenced 6 years of imprisonment

Law is same for everybody; for rich or poor, for strong or weak, for a layman or a celebrity… no one can escape after committing a crime. It takes time but crime never pays off. If you’ve done a crime, sooner or later you’ll be punished. There is no escape. Well, this was proved today in India when famous actor Sanjay Dutt was sentenced for 6 years of imprisonment from TADA court for 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case. He was found guilty for keeping illegal arms (AK 58 I think) in connection to one of the deadliest bomb blast in the history of India which killed around 250 people. In addition he also has to pay Rs. 25,000 fine.

Sanju Baba is the son of well renowned actor and ex-sports Minister Late Suniel Dutt. It was a great shocker for him and all his fans. Nobody was expecting 6 yrs long sentence. Surely, his advocate will appeal in the Supreme Court but I don’t think that the decision will change. This case has been on for about 14 years and it’s a great disgrace for the Indian judiciary because it took around 14 long years to make decision on a single case.

Anyways, I am a big fan of “Munna Bhai” myself and am sorry for him. But, I am happy that finally the right decision was given irrespective to any kind of discrimination. We will miss him very much in movies in days to come. Hope he will continue to play in movies.
