Poor country rich people

1 plate mo: mo: - Rs. 25
A cup of tea - Rs 6
1 plate chowmin- Rs 30
These are the price lists of some common food items that you can get at most of the restaurants out here in Nepal. Then there are places where the prices of same items are not double but more that triple the above rates. Places like Jeans Café, Himalayan Java, Grasshopper, ND’s etc. are just few of the names where the prices of food items touch the sky. Still these places are packed with people, especially young generation guys and girls like to visit these places and spend their parent’s money over the expensive food items to keep up their reputation among their circle.
Nepal as most of the people know is a very poor country. Well, I don’t know about the country, but as a citizen of Nepal I sure can say that the people of this country aren’t poor at all and I can bet on that. I myself don’t have a job, yet I go to such places quite often with my friends and I don’t regret at all for spending on expensive food items though I know that I can get the same food at a lot cheaper price elsewhere.

Remote Control

Lot of buttons on it and with each buttons pressed a call to new function, a new channel appears, volume increases/decreases, TV or radio is turned on or off. Remote Control is actually is the one most powerful thing in this whole world. Even the missiles and detonators have their remote controls. Without remote control, they won’t be as deadly as they are now. Just imagine life without remote controls – we have to stand up and walk to the TV or Radio each time to change the channel or increase the volume or to turn the TV on. How hectic life would be then, just imagine? For all these reasons, we should all be thankful to the manufacturers of the remote control and we should keep it in a safe, clean place, wrapped in a plastic and shouldn’t use two different batteries at a time.

“When you love someone” – Bryan Adams

“ when you love someone
you'll do anything
you'll do all the crazy things
that you can't explain
you shoot the moon
put out the sun
when you love someone ”

I once was so fond of this song that I used to listen to it 24-7. I was a student and I kinda had feelings for a girl and this song kinda match the whole situation of love and stuffs like that. As time passed by, my love for the girl decreased, I also came to know that she had no feelings at all for me. Now when I listen to this song, I feel like this song is one of the crappies songs I ever heard and that to think this song was a masterpiece was just a big illusion. Doing crazy things for your love is one thing but putting out the sun and shooting the moon, man that’s impossible even in movies. I’m thinking rationally nowadays and I, with all my knowledge and experience, am saying that love is such bullshit… be real, live in reality, only in movies and stories there are happy endings, in reality love will leave you with nothing except pain at the end.

Folks don't go on blind dates

This is a warning to anybody who is very much fond of going on blind dates without knowing whom they are really dating. It may be very risky. A funny incident happened today when a friend of mine who was watched by an unknown girl was called on his cell and asked to go out on a date. He, at first was very excited to finally get to meet the girl who knew everything about him. But all that excitement vanished when he finally saw her.

We as his friends had warned him but he had replied - how could a girl with such a beautiful voice not be as beautiful. I don’t want to hurt people’s feelings in any way but I must warn everyone – thought a book can’t be judged by its cover, a book won’t be sold if it’s cover is all dirty and torn.

Kobe's 3rd consecutive 50+ game

Undoubtedly, Kobe Bryant has been the most influential player for the LA Lakers for past few years and one of my favorites too. The only reason behind any of the fans coming in Staple Center for a Lakers game is just to watch Bryant kick the hell out of everyone else. And in Thursday, March 22 once again Bryant proved why he’s still among the league leaders in scoring. Bryant scored 61 points by himself as the LA Lakers went on to defeat Vancouver Grizzlies 121-119. It was his 3rd consecutive 50+ game as he became the fourth player in NBA history to score at least 50 points in three straight games.

Love or just an infatuation

I saw a girl…she was very pretty and sexy too. I was very much attracted towards her. More clearly, I was infatuated by her looks. Believe me when I say - I know for real, looks can be deceiving but yet, her beauty pulled me towards her and after few more meetings, I figured out that I was madly in love with her. Just like in movies, I was willing to kill or even die for her or something like that.
Well, few days back I saw another girl …. more beautiful than the one I saw before and I was attracted towards her now. This time I am perplexed, whom shall I go after now, which one is love and which one infatuation.

Definition of home

What is home??? Simply, its your residence, your dwelling place, a place where you live, which gives you shelter. Well, that’s what every layman thinks of when the word “home” strikes his mind. My definition of a home is a little different. For me a home is a place where a person is with another person/s who he loves to be with. Ya ya ….now you may say that this is what every tragic psycho thinks of when the word “home” strikes his mind.

My 51st Date

is probably the best romantic movie that I know. A very touching story – Henry played by Adam Sandler meets Lucy played by none other than the beautiful Drew Barrymore at a café in Hawaii. They have a chat and by the end of the day both agree to meet up the next day at the same café. Next day both are at the café but to Henry’s surprise Lucy doesn’t recognize him at all. Henry soon finds out the Lucy suffers from a short-term memory loss as a result of a car accident. For Lucy each day is the same day as it was the previous day. All her activities were repeated each day and the next day she has no trace of anything that she did the previous day. Henry however won’t give up on her and decides to be with her and help her even if means to put down all his dreams and try everyday just to make her finally remember him.
I don’t know if one could love another so much as in this movie but I learnt that movies give birth to dreams and when dreams are shattered it’s very painful.

Tragedy

Tragedy !!! I thought it would never occur to me but who knew it was waiting somewhere around just like a tiger was waiting for its prey quietly behind the bushes without making a sound. By the time I realised it was too late, I was on it's mercy and the tiger doesn't show mercy to its prey. I was struck at a lightning speed and now I don't have a life, what left is some leftovers that the tiger couldn't finish and now the vultures are flying over to have a taste of me.

My Converse

I was more like a hip-hop kinda guy. Like all my friends, I too used to listen to hip-hop songs, wear baggy pants with matching jersey. I liked basketball and for that reason I kinda developed a passion for shoes too. Specially, I used to wear sports shoes (nike, addidas, reebok, etc.). But the courts out here are so rough that my shoes tend to torn easily. So, I had to look for cheaper shoes which fit my budget as well as my style. Then, I started wearing converse as they are available at variable prices ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs.2,400 and they are comfortable as well as stylish. Now, I can’t get my eyes off the converse as I walk to the mall to look for shoes. I only wear converse shoes nowadays and for that I even stopped wearing hip-hop pants and big t-shirts. Converse shoes changed the way I looked and the way I dressup.
