Make-A-Wish Foundation of America

Every kid has a wish. Small or big, but they have a wish. Some wish to have a bicycle, some a packet of chocolate, some wish to meet some hero whereas some wish their parents would stop fighting or that their parents would just stop scolding them. When I was a kid, I too had a wish. I wished I would soon grow young and strong. I got my wish fulfilled. I got young, but now I’ve realized that my wish wasn’t really a good wish at all. Now, that I am young now… I wished that time would go back and that I would get my childhood back. If somebody could just make my wish come true. Anyways, all wishes aren’t meant to be fulfilled and even if a wish is fulfilled, a new wish is born the next second.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of America is a charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. It has been granting wishes since 1980 and till now it has granted wishes to over 150,000 children. This charity works to keep the hopes of people alive through its wish granting work. It grants a wish in every 41 minutes and I really appreciate the extensive effort it is giving in fulfilling the children’s wish. I mean what more could you give to a child who is in the midst of life and death. Even a small wish of his that could come true would give him some happiness in last moments. So, I believe in what Make-A-Wish Foundation is doing.

I came to know about this charity from Charity Navigator which is America's leading independent charity evaluator helping out charitable givers to make intelligent giving decisions by providing information on charities and by evaluating the financial status of these charities. So, thanks to this site too.
